SALES MANAGER

The mission

EV East Africa, is searching for a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join itsteam. The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the sales team, developing, and implementing sales strategies, and achieving sales targets in Kenya. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of sales processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead in managing all commercial affairs including pricing strategies, discount structures, credit terms, and credit limits.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for different market segments including large-scale, small-scale, and various value chains.
  • Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales management, with a proven track record of achieving targets and driving sales growth.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in building and managing a sales team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and analytical abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
