The mission

The Sales Representative for All Channels will be responsible for driving sales across various channels in the Mbeya region of Tanzania. This role involves managing relationships with both small-scale and large-scale clients, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and ensuring the effective delivery of our products and services to meet diverse client needs and achieve company targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development:
    Identify and pursue new business opportunities across all channels, including small-scale enterprises and large-scale distributors in the Mbeya region. Achieve and exceed sales targets by effectively promoting and selling the company’s products and services.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and new prospects. Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Market Analysis and Tracking:
    Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs within Mbeya. Track sales performance and identify opportunities for growth and areas requiring improvement.
  • Product and Service Knowledge:
    Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s products and services, in the Mbeya region including their features, benefits, and pricing structures. Stay informed about product updates and industry trends to provide accurate information to clients.
  • Promotional Activities:
    Organize and participate in promotional events, trade shows, and other marketing activities to enhance brand visibility and attract potential clients. Tailor promotional strategies to different market segments and channels in the Mbeya region.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    Perform cost-benefit and needs analyses of existing and potential customers to address their requirements effectively. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) regularly.
  • Coordination and Reporting:
    Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments to ensure cohesive and efficient operations. Deliver detailed reports on customer needs, competitive activities, and market conditions to management.

PROFILE

  • Experience:
    Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sales or business development, with a preference for experience in both small-scale and large-scale sectors. Previous experience in the Tanzanian market is highly desirable especially in the Mbeya region.
  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications related to sales or agriculture are a plus.
  • Languages:
    Fluency in English and Swahili is mandatory.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of agricultural products and market dynamics
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and other computer skills.
