Your role at LIPOFABRIK

You will play a direct role in the development and optimization of formulations for our new biosolutions—a critical step in the success of our projects.

You will contribute to the development of formulations, assess their properties and performance, and monitor their stability over time under different conditions.

You will report to the Formulation Engineer and be fully integrated into the core R&D activity,

The Mission

Key Responsibilities

Formulation Development & Optimization

  • Conduct experimental work in physicochemistry, microbiology, and analytical chemistry.
  • Propose and test formulation approaches tailored to the biosolutions under development.
  • Contribute to stability studies and continuous improvement of formulation prototypes.

Application Development Support

  • Participate in efficacy and phytotoxicity testing (in vitro and in planta) for developed formulations.
  • Support trials aimed at better understanding the mode of action of the solutions.

Quality Control & Product Support

  • Set up experimental work to address internal and/or external customer requests related to commercial products.
  • Provide occasional support to Quality Control and other site activities.

Laboratory Operations

  • Prepare culture media, equipment, consumables, and solutions required for experimental protocols.
  • Comply with good laboratory practices and (bio)safety regulations.
  • Record and update test results using digital tools (eLN).
  • Ensure the reliability, quality, and traceability of generated data.

The Ideal Profile

  • You are passionate about the formulation of active substances into commercial products with impact, and motivated by the development of innovative and sustainable agricultural solutions.
    You are comfortable working in a laboratory environment, mastering sterile techniques, and thrive on technical challenges within a demanding and committed R&D team.
  • You have demonstrated your ability to conduct reliable experiments, strictly follow scientific protocols, and apply critical thinking when analyzing results.
    Your attention to detail, rigor, and scientific curiosity enable you to produce high-quality data essential to project advancement.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master degree, or equivalent in formulation, chemistry, physiochemistry, or microbiology, ideally with initial experience in an R&D laboratory, particularly in formulation.
    You are proficient in sterile techniques and naturally apply good laboratory practices.
  • Knowledge of physicochemical techniques, analytical chemistry, or microbiology is considered an additional asset.
  • You are comfortable with digital tools and data recording systems.
    Fluent in either English or French, with at least professional-level English considered a plus in an international scientific environment.
  • Highly organized and reliable, you are able to anticipate laboratory needs, follow protocols accurately, and communicate results effectively.
    Curious, methodical, and solution-oriented, you adapt quickly, take relevant initiative, and actively contribute to the collective dynamics of the LIPOFABRIK R&D center.
