EV East Africa,  is searching for a salesperson to join our team and grow sales, expand the customer base within Ethiopia, and contribute to rapid growth. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Research to identify targeted customers, sector opportunities and maintain existing ones to grow Ethiopian sales.
  • Achieve or exceed agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
  • Ensure timely sale of BioSolutions and technical follow-ups to customers and distributors within Ethiopia Agricultural sector.
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new product and services.
  • Research on regional crop cycles, seasons, competitor market and monitor trends in sales
  • Follow-up on initiated product demos, report and establish new business opportunities.
  • Grow and retain existing clients by building long-term and trusting relationships with customers and maintaining their database.
  • Develop & maintain relationships with government & it’s ministries, relating Non-Governmental Programs (NGO) and other partners.
  • Participate in trainings organized by the company and seek opportunities for improving operations.
  • Timely upload order and utilize the CRM sales tools.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
  • Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor.

PROFILE

  • Education: A diploma, bachelor’s degree in Agricultural course, Business Administration, Sales & Marketing or a related field is required. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: The successful candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in sales & marketing or business development, preferably within Ethiopia
  • Experience in the Coffee, Vegetables & cut-flowers crops, crop protection, biocontrols, or related industries is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: The Sales Consultant should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: The Sales Consultant should have strong problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to identify and address customer needs and concerns.
  • Adaptability: The Regional Sales Consultant should be able to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs, as well as work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Qualification and proficiency in computer applications.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Sharp negotiation and time management skills.
  • Must be creative and able to work under pressure.
  • Must be flexible person, who is willing to learn and able to work flexible hours to achieve goals.
  • Valid Driver’s License: A valid driving license is required for this position as the Sales Consultant will be required to travel to various locations in the region to meet with client’s partners and for field activities for more than 60% of the time.
